MAGNUM - Château de Beaucastel 2016
Rhone Valley - Châteauneuf-du-Pape - Red Wine -Château de Beaucastel is a vineyard of 70 hectares located in the prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, between Orange and Avignon. Château de Beaucastel has about 110 hectares in one piece north of the appellation.
Château Beaucastel 2016 is a very great wine produced by the Famille Perrin, famous house of the Rhone Valley. It comes from a blend of 30% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre, 15% Syrah, 10% Counoise, 5% Cinsault and 10% others. Since the 60s, the thirteen grape varieties of the appellation are grown organically and each grape variety is collected separately by hand.
Intense Ruby color, this Château Beaucastel 2016 in Magnum presents a fresh nose with chocolate aromas. The mouth, of a beautiful roundness, expresses flavors of ripe fruits. Beautiful acidity and balance with sweet tannins and a lingering finish.
Recognized as a red wine with exceptional quality, the reputation of the Château de Beaucastel wine is well established! By the way, this 2016 vintage is rated 99/100 by James Suckling!
"This is a stunning Beaucastel. A classic! Has a superb array of fruit, ranging from red, through to blue, darker purple and black. Nuances of dark, stony minerals, spices, wild flowers and herbs. So fleshy. This has impeccable balance, super-silky tannins and an extraordinarily long finish. This has decades ahead of it. Drink or hold."
The advice of 12bouteilles: A very large wine in magnum format to share the pleasure of tasting. Château Beaucastel has a good aging potential, 10 years old and up. Be sure to decant before serving between 16 ° C and 18 ° C.
