Dominio de Pingus, evokes one of the greatest wines of Spain and the world from the appellation Ribera del Duero. The Pingus estate was founded in the 90s by Peter Sisseck, a Danish oenologist. He had a real love at first sight for the Castilian terroir and its flagship grape variety, the Tempranillo. This is how the first Pingus vintage was born in 1995, becoming today the most recognized wine reaching the 100 mark on some vintages. It comes from two plots of very old vines (over 80 years old) of Tempranillo located in the area of La Horra. The yields are ridiculously low (11 hl/ha) and the sorting is done grain by grain, which explains the extraordinary concentration of Pingus that adds to this power a dimension of finesse and elegance very singular, since 2000 the viticulture is biodynamic. The second wine of the estate, Flor de Pingus, is remarkable for its intensity. Since 2007, Peter Sisseck has created a top-of-the-range wine, through the Psi cuvée, made exclusively from old Tempranillo vines.
