Chateau de Beaucastel : Coudoulet de Beaucastel Red 2018
Rhone Valley - Côtes du Rhône - Red Wine -This Coudoulet de Beaucastel Red 2018 from the Perrin Family is considered to be the Chateau de Beaucastel baby. Made from a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault, the grapes come from the 30 hectare Côtes du Rhône appellation vineyard.
The 2018 vintage is characterised by exceptional climatic conditions and abundant grapes. The terroir of Coudoulet is similar to that of its neighbour with Miocene marine molasse covered by alpine diluvium. This cover of rolled pebbles contributes a lot to the wines, it stores the intense heat of the Mediterranean sun during the day and slowly releases it to the vines at night.
Tasting notes :
Dress : beautiful dark colour
Nose : reveals pretty notes of red fruits, raspberries, wild strawberries, spices and garrigue.
The palate: powerful, full, full and of great finesse. The tannins are velvety and the finish is long.
Serving suggestions for 12 bottles: This 2018 vintage from the Perrin family will be a good accompaniment to both red and white meats. Taste it between 16°C and 18°C.
