Owned by Groupe Ballande, Château Prieuré Lichine covers 70 hectares in the heart of the Margaux appellation. 4th growth classified in 1855. The origin of the property dates back to the Romanesque period. The Priory of Cantenac, founded by the monks of the Abbey of Vertheuil, already produced famous wines. The vines, planted with 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, are all harvested by hand. Château Prieuré-Lichine The estate’s great wine is aged 16 to 18 months in oak barrels, it is a charming, elegant and fine wine, typical of the Margaux appellation. The 2nd Wine, Confidences of the Château Prieuré-Lichine, benefits from the same breeding care as the great wine to give a dense and full but more affordable wine.
