The Domaine des Creisses is a family property on which are exploited 13 hectares of historic vineyards since 1904. It is in 1990 that Philippe Chesnelong then lawyer arrives at the head of the family estate. Rising star of Languedoc, the Domaine des Creisses is above all a history of terroir: white and red quartz pebbles, schist fragments, limestone deep and flush, basalt rock, the originality of the Domaine des Creisses is above all a story of rock, formerly translated by the Creisses. The estate produces two great wines: Les Creisses, its signature cuvée, blend of Syrah, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon, the Creisses is a wine full of vivacity, powerful, of a great freshness. Les Brunes, the Grande Cuvée of the Domaine is also a story of terroir, since its name refers to the brown color of the gravel of the two-hectare plot from which the Mourvèdre comes from its blend (± 20%). It is today considered one of the best wines of Languedoc and especially one of the best “Vins de Pays““ du Monde which naturally found its place on the best tables. The wines and philosophy of Domaine des Creisses summarize our vision well that a Great Wine is not necessarily an expensive wine.
