Domaine du Banneret, a small family estate of five hectares, produces top-of-the-range Chateauneuf-du-Pape wines. Only two vintages are produced each year, a red Châteauneuf-du-Pape vinified according to ancestral methods and a white Châteauneuf-du-Pape whose production does not exceed 2,000 bottles. The estate's wines are made according to ancestral vinification methods. Great wines for laying down, each bottle is a true reflection of the vintage and the winegrower's know-how. Coming from a rich and varied terroir, on nine ideally complementary plots, the thirteen red and white grape varieties are planted. The vines are old, producing low yields but of high quality. The average age of the vineyard is 70 years. The nine plots are located on different "lieux-dits", so the production comes from a very varied terroir. All the plots of the vineyard are in the commune of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The soils are extremely varied, and are characteristic of seven different "lieux-dits".
