The history of the Ferraton estate is rooted in several generations of winegrowers. The creation of the estate dates back to 1946 by Jean Orëns Ferraton. A passionate winegrower who bequeaths this family heritage to his son Michel. In 1998, with the support of Michel Chapoutier, the Ferraton estate embarked on the adventure of organic farming and later that of biodynamics. The will of the vineyard being respect for the living in all its forms and to promote harmony. Today, the emblematic Rhône Valley vineyard covers the Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph appellations. Ferraton is also characterized by its plot selections, which deliver very qualitative, precise and generous wines.
