A historic estate shaped by noble rot and terroir

Château Suduiraut, ranked as a Premier Grand Cru Classé in 1855, stands among the elite producers of sweet wines in the Sauternes appellation of Bordeaux. Located in the heart of this unique microclimate, the estate’s 92 hectares of vineyards are rooted in sandy-gravel soils that encourage perfect grape ripening. The region’s morning mists and sunny afternoons foster the growth of Botrytis cinerea, the noble rot responsible for concentrating sugars and revealing the complex aromatic profile of the grapes.
