Château Canon is a true reference among the great wines of Saint-Émilion, proudly classified as a 1er Grand Cru Classé B. Located at the gates of the picturesque village of Saint-Émilion, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this estate benefits from an exceptional terroir that contributes to the production of outstanding wines. Since its acquisition by the Wertheimer family (owners of Chanel) in 1996, major investments have been made, restoring this cru to its rightful place among the finest.

With a surface area of 34 hectares, the Château Canon vineyard is planted on an exceptional terroir composed mainly of clay-limestone soils, ideal for growing Bordeaux grape varieties. The vines, with an average age of 25 years, are carefully cultivated to extract the best from this unique terroir.

Château Canon Wines

Since the acquisition by the Wertheimer family, numerous works have been undertaken to modernize the estate. In 2011, Château Canon acquired Château Matras, adding 12 additional hectares to its production. These new parcels are mainly dedicated to the creation of its second wine, Clos Canon, while maintaining the exceptional quality of the estate's main wines.
