Domaine Rapet Père et Fils
This very old family estate was founded in 1765. Vincent Rapet, now in charge of the estate, produces modern style wines, carefully brewed and representative of his terroir. Several years of aging suit them very well, and the prices of the different vintages remain quite reasonable. The magnificent Pernand-Vergelesses estate, located on the hill of Corton, is famous for its Burgundy wines. It covers almost 20 hectares, in Savigny-lès-Beaune, Chory-lès-Beaune, Aloxe-Corton and especially its Pernand in Burgundy -There are around 20 production areas in the village of Vergelesses. If 80% of the Rapet vineyards are planted in Pernand-Vergelesses, then all the vineyards are labeled "High Environmental Value (HVE)". Red wine in 2017 usually contains tannin instead of fully mature tannin, which exacerbates the bitterness of the wine. The chowder shows the spices, but in the mouth, after the supple attack, we feel that the tannins are a little too prominent. Despite the solid tannin, it is greedy. The Vergelesses are reminiscent of cherries: its juicy mouth shows a touch of bitterness and its solid structure takes time to skate. The slightly smoky nose of Grèves gives off a light fragrance. Soon it hardened and the tannins were not yet fully ripe. Colton made fruit powder dominant through selection. In Caradeux evokes star anise and marzipan in white. Taste and sweet wine with a good citrus flavor.
