A Historic Estate in Harmony with Nature

Since 1771, Bodegas Los Frailes has embodied a remarkable family winemaking legacy in Spain. Nestled in Fontanars dels Alforins, within the Valencia wine region, the estate spans 162 hectares of vineyards, olive trees, almond groves, and Mediterranean forest. The terroir, defined by limestone-rich soils and a continental climate tempered by Mediterranean breezes, offers the perfect conditions for native grape varieties to thrive.

Certified organic since 2002 and biodynamic since 2017, the estate is guided by a deep commitment to environmental balance. No synthetic chemicals are used; instead, the vineyards are treated with natural compost, herbal infusions, and cover crops that support soil vitality and biodiversity. Each plot is considered a living organism, tended with meticulous care.

Distinctive Wines Full of Life and Emotion

Monastrell, the emblematic grape of the region, is the cornerstone of the winery’s production. It is vinified in uncoated cement vats that allow gentle oxygenation and true expression of the fruit. Complementary cuvées like "Bilogía" (Monastrell-Syrah), "Trilogía" (Monastrell-Cabernet Sauvignon-Tempranillo), and "Rubificado" (100% Garnacha Tintorera aged in amphorae) reflect the estate’s innovative yet honest approach to winemaking.

Every bottle is a reflection of place, climate, and the hands that craft it. Fermentations rely solely on native yeasts, and cellar intervention is kept minimal — no excessive filtering and very low sulfur use. The wines are vibrant, expressive, and structured for both enjoyment and aging. Energy, freshness, and mineral precision are the hallmarks of the entire range.
