A sustainable estate shaped by passion and precision

Nestled in the renowned Gevrey-Chambertin appellation, Domaine Thierry Mortet is a shining example of Burgundy’s finest winemaking. Established in the early 1990s by Thierry Mortet, this estate stems from a long family lineage, with deep roots in traditional viticulture. From the outset, Thierry committed to organic farming and in 2007 achieved full organic certification across his vineyards, affirming his respect for nature and terroir.

With approximately 10 hectares under vine, the estate cultivates Pinot Noir and a small amount of Aligoté across prestigious plots in Gevrey-Chambertin, Marsannay, and Chambolle-Musigny. Each wine is carefully crafted using manual harvest, native yeast fermentations, gentle extraction, and aging in mostly used oak barrels to ensure purity, balance, and expression of place.

The Gevrey-Chambertin stands out with its powerful structure, dark berry aromas, and earthy complexity. Marsannay offers a more approachable, fruit-forward profile, while Chambolle-Musigny is known for its finesse and floral elegance. The estate’s rare Bourgogne Aligoté delivers refreshing acidity, citrus notes, and minerality—perfect for seafood or as an aperitif.
