Newton Vineyard
Founded in 1977, Newton Vineyard is one of California's most prestigious Napa Valley estates. Combining expertise, respect for the environment and exceptional terroir, Newton Vineyard has been producing internationally renowned wines for more than 35 years.
Located on the slopes of Spring Mountain, the 260-hectare estate produces vintages vinified separately and then assembled. Each of the 112 plots is planted with a specific grape, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.
The terroir is ideal for the development of a wine rich in fruit notes. Each plot has a unique soil type, specific sun exposure and microclimate that gives the wines a wide variety of flavors and aromas. To preserve the richness and character of each plot, all the grapes are harvested by hand and vinified separately, giving the winemaker an exceptional palette from which to assemble the wines of the vineyard. The fermentation is done naturally, with yeasts of the region, to protect the characteristics of the fruit as much as possible and thus contribute to the final complexity of the wine.
Newton Vineyard offers an "icon" vintage from the prestigious appellations of Spring Mountain, Mount Veeder and Yountville. This exceptional vintage is the result of a meticulous selection of the estate's finest Cabernet Sauvignon. This red wine has excellent aging potential.
In harmony with nature, the Newton Vineyard estate strives to reduce its environmental impact during all stages of wine making.
Thus, vineyard plots are integrated with the native vegetation, in order to preserve the ecosystem of the hill.
