The Rasteau appellation was ranked among the best wines of the Rhone Valley in 2010. It produces exclusively red wines that must be composed of at least 50% Grenache. At this Grenache Noir are associated Syrah and Mourvèdre entering 20% in the assembly.
On the highly exposed soil, located on arid and dry lands, the wines develop aromas of ripe fruit, notes of violet and spices. Imposing, ample, solar, rich, the wines of the Rasteau appellation are density styles wines.
