Based in Parnay for 5 generations, in the heart of the Saumur Champigny appellation. The Domaine des Closiers extends over 15 hectares of clay-limestone soil, about 95% of the vineyard is planted with Cabernet Franc, the vines are 35 years old on average, to produce rich and fine wines. The parcels of the estate are among the most beautiful of the appellation and are probably the most qualitative, they express all the richness and nobility of the terroir. The estate was awarded the High Environmental Value label in 2017 thanks to the development of biodiversity, the estate has now begun its conversion to organic farming. All the reds are matured in stainless steel vats to preserve the fruit and expression of the Saumur Champigny terroir, as well as vintages matured in barrels to allow micro-oxygenation during maturing which brings roundness and finesse to the wine, preserving the fruitiness and freshness of the wine.
