Château La Gaffelière

Château La Gaffelière

Château La Gaffelière 1st Grand Cru Classé B Saint Emilion belongs to the family of Malet Roquefort for 3 centuries. It is now run by Alexandre de Malet Roquefort who has undertaken extensive work both at the vineyard and the winery to implement a parcel vinification and a wine aging in a cellar in Barrique worthy of this 1er Cru Classé. The vineyard is planted with 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and covers 36 hectares. The wines produced are now concentrated with very fine aromas of black cherries and gooseberries. They truly reveal all their charms after a decade of care. His second wine Clos la Gaffelière is a powerful but supple wine with a rich bouquet of complex aromas.
