A historic family estate and a remarkable terroir

Located on the sun-kissed limestone hills of Saint-Émilion, Château La Gaffelière is a symbol of heritage and excellence in Bordeaux winemaking. Classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé B, the 36-hectare estate has been in the hands of the de Malet Roquefort family for over three centuries. Today, Alexandre de Malet Roquefort continues the family legacy, combining tradition with modern viticultural innovation.

The vineyard lies on clay-limestone slopes, offering ideal conditions for grape ripening and varietal expression. Planted with 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, the vines yield wines of impressive depth, balance, and aromatic precision. Each plot is vinified separately to preserve its unique character, with aging taking place in fine French oak barrels.
