Domaine de la Garance is a property located in Caux 6 km north of PEZENAS in the department of Herault in the Languedoc region.
Since 1998, Pierre QUINONERO has been dedicated to producing fine wines and sparkling white wines, cakes and gastronomy. The vineyard includes old carignans and ancient ugnis and clairettes, some strains being over one hundred years old. Replantations of Grenache and Syrah complete the vines of the estate.
The Vinification of the entire harvest in long macerations gives a red, Les Armières (90% Carignan), with a strong acidity, and whose tannins are refined in concrete vats and wooden casks.
The vineyard of 6 hectares and 50 acres enjoys rare geological qualities, a complex and varied terroir; made of villafranchian gravel, clay-limestone sediment and basaltic scree with a very suitable grape variety such as Carignan.
Pierre QUINONERO has, since he took over the vinification of wine in his own cellars, the objective of producing Grands Vins de Garde.
