Château Angelus is a first grand clu classified A of Saint Emilion. Château Angélus is the work of a passion written for eight generations by the family of Bouard de Laforest. It is in 1954 that the Château is classified Grand Cru Classé, but especially in the years, the arrival of Hubert de Bouard, oenologist of the faculty of Bordeaux that the style Angelus asserts itself. It is the wedding of a bold encépagement to a soil of exception. It is this unique character and its high proportion of Cabernet Franc that have been enjoyed over the years: richness, density, creaminess, elegance, race, purity and freshness. In the 2012 classification, Château Angélus joins the very closed clan of the 1st Grands Crus Classés A with Cheval Blanc, Ausone and Pavie. His second wine Carillon d’Angelus represents 20 to 30% of the production, the vines receive the same care as for the Château Angélus. The result is a second wine very popular for its fruit flavors (plum, cherry) and velvety tannins.
