2021 is a vintage that has experienced particular climatic conditions, notably because of the frost. However, the winegrowers concentrated more on the work of vinification in order to offer a product worthy...
Born into families of winegrowers, Céline and Frédéric embarked on their own adventure in 2013. They created their Estate nestled in the heart of the Chablis vineyard. The 25 hectares of vines are mainly made up of Chardonnay grapes from the Bourgognes and Chablis appellations. They also use Sauvignon grapes for the Saint-bris AOC and Pinot noir with Irancy. With a deep attachment to the roots of their families, they build a new Estate with a wind of freedom. Céline and Frédéric, in turn, are writing a new page in the history of wine.
Our vines are located both in the Chablis vineyard, and in the Auxerrois vineyard, this is how the vineyard of Céline and Frédéric GUEGUEN consists of 25 hectares of vines. The diversity of all these appellations is a challenge in itself: 35 different plots in very varied regions between Chablis, Chichée, Saint Bris, Irancy. The balance between the soil and the micro-climate is everywhere different. These differences are particularly visible during the harvest. Several weeks separate the first harvested plots from the last.
The management of the vineyard carried out by Frédéric Gueguen aims to integrate the vine in its environment, we practice a reasoned approach to viticulture: reasoned agriculture and we are certified High Environmental Value (HVE) this corresponds to the highest level an environmental certification scheme for agricultural holdings (including wine-growers) & enables the recognition of holdings engaged in procedures that are particularly respectful of the environment.
