Maison Paul Jaboulet Ainé is one of the emblematic houses of the Rhone Valley. Two centuries of history mainly built on the northern appellations of the Rhone Valley. Owner of the Mythical Hermitage la Chapelle, the wines de la maison Paul Jaboulet-Ainé are today produced on all major Rhône appellations: Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage, Cornas, Saint-Péray, Saint-Joseph and Condrieu of course, but also Côte-Rôtie and the Côtes du Rhône. In 2006, the Frey family, winemaker Champenois and owner of Château la Lagune acquire la maison Jaboulet. It is Caroline Frey, the talented oenologist of the family who takes care of the development of the wines of Jaboulet. On the 100 hectares of vines which they own, the Frey family produces great Rhone wines certified by reasoned agriculture and uses only organic fertilizers. The wines are grown in the winery of the Maison “Vineum” whose underground galleries extend over 17 hectares. Among the wonders of the Maison Jaboumet, “L’Hermitage la Chapelle“ (whose 1961 vintage is considered one of the ten best wines ever vinified), “La Petite Chapelle“ also in Hermitage appellation, became in 2012 la “Maison Bleue“ in homage to the building built on the plot. The Red and White Jalets appellation Crozes Hermitage, the Domaine de Croix des Vignes in Saint Joseph or its Great Terraces on the Appellation Cornas. The House also signs marvelous whites: The “Chevalier Sterimberg“ en Hermitage, the “Grande Pompée“ on the Saint Joseph appellation (also available in red) and the fabulous Condrieu “les Cassines“.
