Château de Beaucastel 2016
Rhone Valley - Châteauneuf-du-Pape - Red Wine -Château de Beaucastel has long been considered one of the greatest wines of France and is unanimously renowned for its balance, its elegance and its capacity for aging.
Produced by the Perrin family, one of the major players in the French wine world, Château de Beaucastel 2016 is a young wine of rare quality with an acidity and a fantastic balance.
This 2016 vintage comes from a complex blend: 30% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre, 15% Syrah, 10% Counoise, 5% Cinsault and 10% of a mixture of Vaccarèse, Terret Noir, Muscardin, Clairette, Picpoul, Picardan , Bourboulenc and Roussanne. Since the 1960s, the thirteen grape varieties of the appellation have been grown organically.
The dress of this Château de Beaucastel 2016 has an intense ruby color. The nose is very fresh with hints of chocolate. The palate expresses a beautiful roundness with ripe fruit flavors with sweet tannins and a long finish.
An exceptional vintage rated 99/100 by J.Suckling!
"This is a stunning Beaucastel. A classic! Has a superb array of fruit, ranging from red, through to blue, darker purple and black. Nuances of dark, stony minerals, spices, wild flowers and herbs. So fleshy. This has impeccable balance, super-silky tannins and an extraordinarily long finish. This has decades ahead of it. Drink or hold."
The advice of 12bouteilles: This very beautiful vintage of Château de Beaucastel will be able to stay in the cellar for 10 years or more! Decant it if possible before serving around 15 ° C.
