Produced by the Perrin family, one of the major players in the French wine world, Château de Beaucastel 2018 - Hommage à Jacques Perrin is a wine of rare quality with fantastic acidity and balance. 2018 is a year with exceptional weather conditions that make this vintage a great classic Tribute to Jacques Perrin.

The 2018 vintage is a complex blend of 30% Grenache, 30% Mourvèdre, 15% Syrah, 10% Counoise, 5% Cinsault and 10% of a mixture of Vaccarèse, Terret Noir, Muscardin, Clairette, Picpoul, Picardan, Bourboulenc and Roussanne. Since the 1960s, the thirteen grape varieties of the appellation have been cultivated organically.

With a scarlet red colour, the nose is powerful, elegant and very magnetic, and is characterised by the scent of Mourvèdre and violet. The taste is rich, with superb flavours of spices, red fruits and thyme, and supple, delicate and fresh tannins. This wine is of infinite elegance, a perfect combination of sophistication and power, and a great tribute to Jacques Perrin.

The advice of 12bouteilles: This very beautiful vintage of Château de Beaucastel will be able to stay in the cellar for 10 years or more! Decant it if possible before serving around 15 ° C.
