The Rolle or Vermentino is a white grape variety grown in Corsica, Provence and Languedoc-Roussillon, it is also present in the Bellet appellation .. Probably native to Spain, it is however distributed in Italy around the Ligure, the Sardinia and Tuscany. This grape grows more favorably in warm regions in a dry and infertile soil, it must be driven on wire because it is sensitive to the wind. Its cultivation can only be carried out in areas very exposed to the sun. The clusters are medium to large, cylindrical-pyramidal, usually small in size. The berry is medium to large, spherical of yellowing color, the skin medium thick and pruinée, the pulp is colored. The Rolle gives quality, powerful, intense and deep white wines. This grape also has the characteristic of producing light and refreshing wines, which sometimes lacks acidity. Rolle’s wines have the full crystalline robe, and floral and fruity aromas of white flowers, fresh apple, grapefruit, fresh pineapple, ripe pear, sweet spices and green almond. Among the wines of Rolle, we selected those of Château d’Esclans, goddess star 2015, a white wine made from 100% Rolle grape varieties, Garrus 2015, an exceptional rosé wine considered the best rosé in the world, Les Clans 2015, a great rosé wine upscale and Whispering Angel 2016, the star of rosé wines. We have also chosen the white wines of the Rimauresq estate, a Côtes de Provence vintage, made from 100% Rolle grapes: Rimauresq Blanc 2016, a classic of the house and R of Rimauresq Blanc 2016, a gourmet wine of great aromatic complexity.
