Bordeaux - Saint-Émilion - 1er Cru Classé - Red Wine -In this 2020 vintage, Château Canon has been rated 98/100 by all the critics, in our opinion it is one of the best wines of the 2020 vintage.
The colour is grant red, almost black.
The nose is expressive, powerful, a concentrate of red and black fruit then the very elegant oak takes over.
The palate is generous, fleshy and greedy. A frank attack, the texture of the mid-palate is enveloping and reveals a precise and silky tannic structure.
The blend of the 2020 vintage is composed of 68% of Merlot and 32% of Cabernet Franc.
The 2020 vintage was matured for 18 months in new French oak barrels, 50% of which were new.
1st Grand Cru Classé B de Saint Émilion, the château Canon, owned by the famille Wertheimer (maison Chanel) since 1996 is situated on exceptional soil. With a surface area of 34 hectares in a single block on the outskirts of the village of Saint-Emilion, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the estate is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
