Château Pontet Canet 2011

Bordeaux - Pauillac - 5e Cru Classé
Cru Classé - Red Wine -

Château Pontet Canet 2011 is without doubt one of the most successful cru of the 2011 vintage in Bordeaux. Precursor of organic Bordeaux, Château Pontet Canet became in some years one of the major wines of Bordeaux with especially the fantastic vintage 2008, 2009, 2010.

This year 2011 gives complex red wines, fruity and sweet.

The color is deep red, the nose develops aromas of black fruits, liquorice, notes of roasted spices. In the mouth, it is a perfect balance, a powerful vintage with velvet texture.

One of the gems of the left bank that is starting to be drinking now and can be kept for another 15 years.

The advice of 12bouteilles: It is a magnificent wine, one of the Cru Classé of Pauillac that must be in cellar on this vintage. Pure Pauillac, consider decanting it 2 hours before tasting, serve it on a dish of character such as game or lamb.
