To the eye, the colour is purple with violet highlights
On the nose, black fruits emerge, blackcurrant, cherry, followed by woody and vanilla notes
On the palate, the attack is straightforward, well-fruited, combined with good length and freshness. The wine is long and full, with powerful tannins.
A magnificent Saint Emilion 1er Grand Cru Classé that impressed us with its power and balance.
The blend for the 2020 vintage is 50% Merlot, 34% Cabernet Franc, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon
L'élevage du millésime 2020 a été de 18 mois en barriques de chêne français dont 75% de fûts neufs.
The 12bouteilles advice : As you have understood, this Pavie 2020 is not currently ready to drink. If you get the urge to taste it, decant the bottle at least 6 hours beforehand, serve the wine chilled at around 18°c. It will go perfectly with red meats and cheeses.
