Clos la Gaffelière is the second wine of Château la Gaffelière in Saint Emilion. It benefits from the same careful vinification and ageing as the 1st wine, aged in oak barrels for 12 months. The percentage of new barrels is 25%
Sourced from the estate's youngest vines, it is more accessible than the first wine and will be ready to drink very quickly
The blend of the 2020 vintage is made up of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.
The Château la Gaffelière is owned by the Malet Roquefort Family, the oldest owners of Saint-Emilion. Classified 1er Grand Cru B, the Château's wines are Saint-Emilion typical Merlot-dominant wines.
