Paul Jaboulet Ainé - Croze Hermitage « Les Jalets » 2016
Rhone Valley - Crozes-Hermitage - Red Wine -"Les Jalets" 2016, by Paul Jaboulet Aîné, is a great Syrah wine grown on the magnificent Crozes Hermitage appellation in the Rhône.
Its name "les jalets" means "pebbles" in Old French and refers to pebbles deposited by alpine glaciers in the Rhone Valley.
Founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet, Paul Jaboulet Aîné is one of the most famous producer and trader in the Rhône Valley. Today managed by the Frey family, owner of Château La Lagune in Bordeaux, the estate is located on the most beautiful parcels of the appellation.
In order to better respect the environment, the vineyard is conducted according to the principles of sustainable agriculture.
"Les Jalets" 2016 presents a beautiful ruby red color, brilliant with purple hues. The nose, aromatic, releases aromas of small red fruits acidulated, then spicy in the final. In the mouth, the attack is supple and greedy introducing a beautiful finish with notes of liquorice.
The advice of 12bouteilles: This Crozes Hermitage 100% Syrah is to be conversed in cellar 5 to 10 years before tasting at a temperature of 16 ° C. It goes well with red meats, try it with a steak for a perfect match.
