Rhone Valley - Rasteau - Red Wine -The Rasteau "L'Andéol" 2019 is a superb red wine from the Rhone Valley produced by the famous Famille Perrin, owner of the sublime Château de Beaucastel. As for the AOC Rasteau, it benefits from a particular climate in the Southern Rhône. Essentially south-facing and protected from the Mistral wind, the Grenache grape ripens particularly well here. The resulting wine develops aromas of fig, dark chocolate and a texture so typical of the appellation.
The robe: velvety purple red
The nose: seductive with aromas of cocoa and fresh strawberries
The palate: powerful, balanced, develops delicious notes of red fruits and black olive with delicately chalky tannins giving a real typicity to the wine
Years in 9 regularly mark the memory of winegrowers and this one seems to be no exception to the rule. After an early budburst at the beginning of April, the flowering was progressive and took place in good conditions in all the vineyards. Then a hot summer began at the end of June, which the vines resisted valiantly. Finally, the harvest took place as usual, without any particular precocity. The wines are full of promise for a vintage in 9 born, once again, under a lucky star.
The advice of 12Bouteilles: A real pleasure wine signed by the Perrin house, which will accompany a rustic and tasty cuisine; a leg of lamb for example. You can let it age 6 to 7 years. This Rasteau "L'Andéol" 2019 should be served between 16°C and 18°C.
Among the wines of the Perrin family you can also like the famous Château de Beaucastel and in Provence in association with Brad Pitt the wines of Miraval and Studio.
