Stemming from granitic soil in the commune of Chavanay, a symbol of Saint-Joseph, the vines aged around 30 years are narrow and sloping offering fresh, crisp fruit and powerful spicy aromas.
The advice of 12Bouteilles: Serve between 14°-16°C. A wine which will be accompanied perfectly in aperitif or red meat dishes.
Located in the Rhone Valley, the Domaine Georges Vernay owns 24ha of vines, 17 of which are on hillsides, spread over 3 appellations: Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie, Saint-Joseph but also 2 IGP Syrah and Viognier. A renowned family estate, it is renowned for its Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie. Since 1940, generations have succeeded one another and today Christine Vernay, daughter of Georges Vernay, is in charge of the property. Certified in organic viticulture, Christine has raised the estate and is recognized as an outstanding winemaker.
