Languedoc - Côtes Catalanes - Red Wine -Muntada 2018 is a very impressive red wine from the Gauby estate produced in the IGP Côtes Catalanes appellation.
Located in the Roussillon region, the Gauby vineyard covers 80 hectares cultivated organically. Blended with 5% Grenache noir from around fifty years old, 45% Carignan over 120 years old, 5% Mourvèdre and 5% Syrah, the 2018 vintage is a marvel.
Tasting Note:
Appearance: Deep, intense red
The nose: Very frank spice notes and an interesting subtlety.
On the palate: With shorter macerations and little extraction, this 2018 muntada signed by Lionel Gauby presents a lot of finesse and elegance
