In Burgundy, the 2021 vintage was marked by complicated climatic conditions related to frost. Nevertheless, the winegrowers succeeded in offering a wine perfectly representing the characteristics of the region by focusing more on the vinification.
This vintage gave birth to perfectly balanced wines, divided between fruit ripeness and acidity associated with a remarkable minerality that reflects in every way the work of a unique terroir.
The famous Domaine Gueguen was created in 2013 by Céline & Frédéric Gueguen. Born from winemaking families, they decided to launch their own adventure by writing in turn a new page in the history of wine. Located in the heart of the Chablis vineyard and among the most beautiful terroirs of Burgundy, the domain has a surface of 36 hectares of vines composed in majority of Chardonnay but also of sauvignon and pinot noir.
Chablis 2021 is a dry white wine from the Burgundy region filled with richness and freshness, it is composed mainly of Chardonnay (100%). This Chablis is unanimously appreciated by consumers and will undoubtedly seduce you by its balance and its aromas.
Tasting notes: CHABLIS 2021
The sight: is illustrated by a pretty dress of rather clear yellow color with brilliant reflections
The nose: presents a sublime minerality worthy of Burgundy, it is fine and fruity with aromas of white flesh fruits and citrus
The mouth: reveals a great suppleness, with freshness. Very fruity aromas of white fruits (pears, apples) complete its flavors of white flowers. The balance in the middle of the mouth is perfect, where we find a light vivacity which allows to prolong the aromas.
12Bouteilles advice: This dry white wine from Domaine Gueguen has a keeping potential of 3 to 8 years. However, we advise you to drink it in its youth and its freshness at a temperature of 10-12 degrees. For the tasting, it will be ideal to taste it as an aperitif with a plate of oysters or with fruity dessert.
