To the eye, the colour is ruby red almost black with purple highlights
On the nose it's a beautiful aromatic palette dui emerges, a mix of black fruits and spices then we find woody and vanilla aromas
On the palate, the attack is straightforward, all round, fruity and harmonious finishing with powerful tannins.
La Dame de Montrose is more accessible than its older Château Montrose, it is made up of a balance between Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon
This is a supple, round wine with tannins that are still present but already ready to drink.
The blend for the 2020 vintage is 44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 49% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot.
Maturing : 30% in new French oak barrels for 12 months.
The 12bottle tip : Decant the bottle at least 2 hours before drinking, serve the wine chilled at around 16-18°c. It will go perfectly with your red meats, game and cheese platters.
In appellation Saint-Estèphe, you may also like Chateau Lafon Rochet, Château Phélan-Ségur, Château Haut-Marbuzet, Château Montrose or Château Cos d'Estournel.
