The blend for the 2020 vintage is 55% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc and 15% of Cabernet Sauvignon.
The wine, which is certified organic, was matured for 16 months in oak barrels, 50% of which were new.
Château Canon La Gaffelière is a Premier Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Emilion and certified organic in 2014. , it has been owned by Count von Neipperg since 1971 and since 1984 managed Stephan Von Neipperg who own 2 other Crus Classés of Saint Emilion, la Mondotte (1er Grand Cru Classé) and Clos de l'Oratoire (Grand Cru Classé).
The Canon-la-Gaffelière vineyard, located on the south coast of Saint-Emilion, planted mainly with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and to a lesser extent Cabernet Sauvignon.
