Champagne Bollinger La Grande Année 2007 with gift box
La Grande Année is a great vintage Champagne from the Bollinger House, the interpretation of an exceptional year.
In 1976, Bollinger Vintage becomes Grande Année; then, in 1997, "LA" Grande Année ("The Great Year") ... A name of obvious simplicity, to better illustrate its exceptional status: because only truly exceptional years have the privilege of being vintage at Bollinger.
Blend 70% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay with 91% Grands Crus and 9% Premiers Crus, the fermentation entirely in barrels. Only the very high quality grapes are vintage at Bollinger: the very early harvest and the great freshness of this vintage place the year 2007 under the sign of the exception.
La Grande Année 2007 presents a gingerly tinted robe, a testament to the maturity of the wine, as well as Bollinger winemaking methods. The first nose opens with aromas of fresh almond, then yellow flesh fruits reminiscent of peach and mango. The second nose reveals roasted and roasted notes accompanied by touches of dried citrus and pink grapefruit.
A nice aromatic amplitude in the mouth with honey aromas and a finely chalky texture. Delicate notes of candied lemon and fine bitters on the finish that bring great freshness.
The advice of 12bouteilles: La Grande Année 2007 is the inevitable champagne of the catering and the beautiful hotel: it is the table champagne par excellence. To highlight its unique style, its bouquet, its aromas, we advise you to serve La Grande Année 2007 between 8 and 10 ° C. You can enjoy it now, or choose to let it age in the cellar. Delicious with foie gras, this champagne also goes wonderfully with grilled fish or in sauce, lobster, lamb and veal.
