Located in the heart of the Arbois appellation, Domaine Ratte stands as a beacon of authenticity and craftsmanship in the Jura wine region. Its strength lies in a patchwork of carefully selected plots – such as Corvées, Grand Curoulet, Bésivette, Prélevront, la Régole, Clos Maire, and la Bergère – each boasting unique geological characteristics. These soils, rich in marl, fossils, chalk, and gryphée, imbue the wines with striking complexity and energy.

This diversity is reflected in wines that capture the soul of the region. Chardonnay and Savagnin yield expressive white wines marked by vibrant minerality and tension. Meanwhile, Pinot Noir and Trousseau produce reds of remarkable finesse, structure, and aromatic precision. Michel-Henri, Françoise, and their son embrace holistic vineyard care, guided by lunar rhythms and natural preparations. Through gentle ploughing, plant infusions, and minimal intervention, the family fosters a healthy ecosystem where vines thrive in harmony with their environment.

Grapes are harvested by hand at full ripeness and fermented using native yeasts, with little to no added sulfur and minimal filtration. This hands-off approach results in living wines that speak clearly of their origin, with purity, texture, and depth.
