Bordeaux - Saint-Émilion - 1er Cru Classé -Château Angélus 2020 is a fantastic bottle, one of the greatest vintages produced at the château, indeed the critics rated the vintage 98-99/100. Today, it is without doubt one of the greatest wines of Saint Emilion.
The colour is red, almost dense black
The nose is magnificent, fresh, delicate and elegant floral, very fine oak.
On the palate, we are surprised by the freshness, then the length of the wine, black fruits and very elegant tannins, the Great Class!.
The blend for the 2020 vintage is 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc.
The 2020 vintage was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 10% in new barrels.
Le Conseil de 12bouteilles : Keep this magnificent bottle in your cellar, but if you open it, decant it for at least 6 hours and serve chilled at around 18°C. It goes perfectly with meats and firm cheeses.
