M.Chapoutier : "Les Granits" Saint-Joseph red 2020
Rhone Valley - Saint-Joseph - Red Wine -Les Granits 2020 is an organic red wine from the Rhône produced by M. Chapoutier in the Saint-Joseph appellation. Made from the oldest Syrah vines in the heart of the appellation on a granite terroir, the grapes are harvested by hand at very high maturity. Slow fermentation in small concrete tanks, long maceration and only free-run wine is used in this plot selection. The wine is aged in barrels for 16 to 18 months.
Tasting notes:
The robe: dark garnet
The nose: very ripe black fruit jam, smoky and mineral notes
The palate: smoked and peppered notes. Very tight tannins and long persistence in the mouth
The advice of 12bouteilles: To be served between 16°C and 18°C, it will perfectly accompany a parma ham, a beef fillet or a Hare à la royale.
