- 2 bottles of the 2020 vintage

Tasting notes:
Colour: cherry red colour
Nose: aromas of red and black fruits with fine spicy notes
Mouth: a straightforward attack that opens up to an opulent wine with substance, balanced and a seductive length on the palate.
The Cuvée "Anges" produced by Louis Chèze, represents all the finesse and delicacy of Syrah. A cuvée made only since 1995, it comes from a 2-hectare parcel of old vines located on the Limony hillsides at an altitude of 300 metres benefiting from a south-easterly aspect. This 100% Syrah is matured in new oak barrels for 22 months depending on the vintage.
The 12bouteilles suggestion: To be served around 16-18°C, this wine has good ageing potential. It will be perfect with small game in sauce, red meat or as an accompaniment to an Asian dish.
The family estate was taken over in 1978 by Mr Louis Chèze. The Louis Chèze winery is located on the top of the Limony hillside, on the right bank of the Rhône, 60 km south of Lyon, in the heart of the Côtes du Rhône Septentrionales vineyards. Mr Chèze began the adventure with 1 hectare of St Joseph and a few rented vines. Today the company represents 45 hectares of prestigious appellations such as Condrieu, St Joseph and Vins de Pays.
