Domaine Thierry Mortet : Gevrey Chambertin 2018
Burgundy - Gevrey Chambertin - Red Wine -This Gevrey Chambertin 2018 from Domaine Thierry Mortet is a Pinot Noir single grape variety, produced on around twenty plots spread over 3 hectares in Côte de Nuits. The vines are planted on an exceptional terroir made up of clay-limestone soils with distinct textures: stony, marly, or on rocks. The age of the vines varies between 20 and 60 years. Production is around 45 Hl / Hectare, and represents an average of 18,000 bottles to market.
Tasting note:
The color: ruby red with carmine reflections.
The nose: a complex aromatic bouquet of red and black berries, light floral notes (violet, rose), nuances of spices, liquorice, chocolate.
Palate: full, full-bodied and structured with fine-grained and silky tannins.
The advice of 12bouteilles: This Gevrey Chambertin is appreciated in its youth with red meat, a good steak, after a few years it goes wonderfully well with meat in sauce, game, as well as with cheeses from cow.
