Bourgogne Aligoté Blanc Clos du Roy 2021 from Domaine Sylvain Pataille is produced on a magnificent terroir composed of red clay on very draining limestone. Although these wines are powerful, they need to be laid down to fully reveal their character. They are blended with two other Aligoté vines located in the Clos du Roy terroir, adding a mineral dimension and aromatic freshness.
Tasting notes :
Colour : intense gold with brilliant highlights.
Nose : Pleasant toasty notes, reminiscent of pastry and vanilla, blend harmoniously with fresh hints of citrus fruit and white flowers, the precise signature of this grape variety.
Palate : On the palate, the dominance of citrus fruit is accompanied by subtle notes of vanilla, offering a refreshing experience. The attack is clean, while the finish lingers with a smooth, unctuous texture that lingers pleasantly.
The 12bouteilles Advice : Clos du Roy Aligoté reveals all its finesse when delicately enjoyed at a temperature of between 11 and 12 degrees, accompanied by shellfish or a refined snail puff pastry.

The story of Domaine Sylvain Pataille is the story of a man who has been passionate about the world of wine since his youth. As a consultant oenologist, Sylvain Pataille took the decision in 1999 to lease a hectare of vines, with the ambition of creating Burgundy wines that express the potential and nuances of the Marsannay appellation with elegance and authenticity.
Between 2000 and 2011, the estate's surface area grew from 2 to 4 hectares, marking the permanent installation of Sylvain Pataille at the estate in 2011. The estate then grew to 10 hectares in 2002. Today, Domaine Sylvain Pataille oversees a 17 hectares vineyard, which has been organically farmed since 2008 under Ecocert certification.
Sylvain attaches great importance to maturing the wines in oak barrels and ensuring they are of the highest possible quality. The top-of-the-range wines are distinguished by their exceptional freshness, finesse and elegance.
