Burgundy - Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits - Grand Cru - Red Wine -This Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru 2020, is a cuvée produced by Domaine Laurent Roumier, in the Bonnes-Marnes appellation. Flagship of the estate, this Grand Cru, 100% pinot noir, is a rare wine because of the small quantities produced. Made from soils that are stonier than those of Chambolle, it comes from a 70-year-old plot, cultivated without fertilizers or herbicides.
Tasting notes:
The Robe: garnet
Nose: floral notes, ripe red fruits, few touches of liquorice and a peppery touch
The palate: rich, unctuous, beautiful aromatic palette and persistent finish
The advice of 12bouteilles: This wine can be drunk young and kept for more than 10 years. To be served at a temperature of 15°C, it will perfectly accompany duck breast, veal liver or poultry.
The Laurent Roumier Estate, located in Chambolle-Musigny, is part of the famous George Roumier estate, founded in 1924. Today Laurent Roumier, cousin of Christophe Roumier who runs the Domaine George Roumier, owns a dozen hectares of vines with an average age of 35 years and cultivated in a reasoned manner. The vineyard extends over different appellations of Burgundy: Hautes Côtes de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny, Bonnes-Mares and Clos Vougeot. The latter applies a traditional vinification in order to sublimate each grape variety and to highlight the richness of the terroirs of the domain.
