A family estate rooted in Chambolle-Musigny

Nestled in the heart of Burgundy, the Laurent Roumier Estate embodies a deep-rooted winemaking tradition. Established in 1991 by Laurent Roumier, a descendant of the prestigious Roumier lineage, the estate traces its origins to 1924 when his grandfather Georges Roumier laid the foundation of this wine heritage. From a modest start with four hectares of leased vines, Laurent has grown the estate to twelve hectares, staying true to the identity of Chambolle-Musigny.

The vineyard, mainly composed of old vines averaging 35 years of age, produces elegant and complex red Burgundy wines. Each bottle captures the finesse and mineral purity of this iconic appellation, shaped by a commitment to preserving the natural environment.

Natural viticulture and traditional winemaking

The Laurent Roumier Estate practices fully natural viticulture, avoiding chemical fertilizers and herbicides to protect soil health and vine vitality. Manual harvesting ensures optimal grape selection, essential to crafting top-quality wines.

In the cellar, the estate follows traditional Burgundy methods, from fermentation to aging, with minimal intervention. This artisanal expertise results in wines of great finesse, depth, and aging potential.
