Domaine Gayda : La Petite Villa 2021

Languedoc - Minervois - Red Wine -

La Petite Villa 2021 is a first step towards "Villa Mon Rêve". This blend of Syrah, Mourvèdre and Grenache highlights the diversity of its terroirs and their biodiversity. This new AOP Minervois la Livinière cuvée has a deep cherry colour with garnet highlights, heralding a full-bodied, expressive wine.
On the nose, a bouquet of black fruit and spices reveals notes of black cherry, blackberry and clove. This initial nose is supported by fresh aromas of peppermint and sweet cocoa bean notes.
On the palate, a fine structure emerges with a supple, intense attack, offering a pleasant velvety texture and a spicy finish on young but promising tannins. Aromas of black fruit, garrigue, cocoa, pink pepper and fresh tobacco unfold fully, offering a rich, complex taste experience.

The blend for the 2021 vintage is made up of 50% Syrah, 30% Mourvèrdre and 20% Grenache.
The wine was matured for 21 months, partly in 500-litre "demi-muids" and partly in 2000-litre oak tuns.
Before being marketed, the wines spent 12 months in the cellar after bottling.

The advice of 12Bouteilles: Open this beautiful bottle at least 2 hours before serving. It goes perfectly with grilled red meat, a cheese platter or even as an aperitif with a charcuterie platter.
