Boisson Frère et Soeur : Mâcon-Bray Champs Saint Pierre 2021

Burgundy - Mâcon-Villages - White Wine -

This Mâcon-Bray Champs Saint Pierre 2021 from Boisson Frère et Soeur is a 100% Chardonnay cuvée made by Bernard Boisson's children, who now look after the wines of the family estate. Selected and matured by Pierre and Anne Boisson, this wine comes from a sublime terroir, the Monts du Mâconnais, which form a series of hillsides separated by parallel faults favourable to vines.

Tasting notes :

Robe : A lovely, luminous pale yellow colour with green highlights, revealing a unique clarity.

Nose : The bouquet reveals fresh aromas of white-fleshed fruit such as pear and green apple, accompanied by citrus notes, notably lemon, and delicate floral notes reminiscent of white flowers.

Palate : The attack is lively and refreshing, marked by a pleasant acidity. The fresh fruit flavours give a crunchy sensation, highlighting aromas of pear, green apple and a subtle hint of lemon. The texture is light and pleasant on the palate, with a lingering, refreshing finish.

The 12bouteilles's advice : This wine is ideal with fish and seafood dishes, such as prawn salads, grilled fish fillets or mussels marinière. To preserve its freshness and aromas, it should be enjoyed within 2 to 3 years of bottling.

Located in Meursault, Domaine Boisson-Vadot is a hidden gem that every wine lover loves to explore. Following Bernard Boisson's retirement in 2016, the estate is now shared between his two children: Anne and Pierre. Both produce exceptional wines under their own names, bringing a touch of innovation while respecting the values established by their father.

Pierre Boisson owns 3.5 hectares of vines, including the famous 'Les Charrons' and 'Monthélie' plots. He chooses to age his cuvées for a very long time in old barrels so as not to leave any mark on the wine.

Anne Boisson owns 1.5 hectares of vines in the villages of Meursault and Auxey-Duresses. Her heritage has enabled her to become a true ambassador for the new generation of women winemakers in Meursault. She produces mainly white wines in the Bourgogne Aligoté appellation, as well as Meursault Premier Cru.
