The nose: A fresh bouquet revealing fragrances of white flowers, white-fleshed fruits such as peach, accompanied by subtle buttery and toasted notes.
The palate: In the mouth, a straight and creamy sensation, marked by finesse but also presenting a beautiful amplitude. The finish highlights the minerality.
The 12bouteilles advice : This excellent wine goes perfectly with a variety of dishes such as pasta, fatty fish (salmon, tuna, etc.), mild and soft cheeses, shellfish and seasoned meats. It is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 12 and 14°C, and its aging potential extends over 8 to 10 years.
The word "Murger" means the presence of piles of stones removed from the vines over the centuries by winegrowers. On the other hand, the term “enclosed” emphasizes that the vineyard is carefully framed by walls. Each year they produce around 9,300 bottles on average over a period of 20 years. The use of oak barrels, combined with their burning process, gives distinctive aromatic nuances to this Meursault of exceptional quality.
The estate is currently under the management of Michel Bardet, grandson of Albert Grivault, who benefits from the support of his daughter, Claire. Covering an area of 6 hectares, the family estate is mainly distributed between three appellations in Meursault. In addition, Domaine Albert Grivault also has a plot in the Pommard appellation.
With Clos des Perrières, Domaine Albert Grivault has the largest climat in Meursault, which it operates under a monopoly. This plot is demarcated by a 2 meter high wall, thus offering protection against cold winds. The full South/South-East exposure ensures optimal sunshine for the vines.
