Mendoza - Red Wine -Cheval des Andes is one of the greatest wines of Argentina, it is the signature of Chateau Cheval Blanc in Mendoza in collaboration with Terrazas de Los Andes.
The 2020 vintage is a marvel, a wine of reference on the vintage in Argentina. Cheval des Andes, Argentina's Grand Cru, is the fruit of two cultures blending the vision and know-how of Château Cheval Blanc with the high altitude viticulture in the Mendoza region where Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon, subject to a demanding climate, come together at the foot of the Cordillera.

Cheval des Andes 2020 is the 21th vintage of the vineyard, it is the vintage of maturity, the first to achieve the perfect blend of 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 49% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot the objective stated by the technical teams of Chateau Cheval Blanc at the creation of this vintage in the foothills of the Argentinean mountains.
For this 2020 vintage, the maturation was carried out in 40% 225-liter barrels, 40% 400-liter barrels and 20% in 2500-liter tuns, with 50% new wood.

The Colour: Intense, deep and shiny, velvety red colour
The nose: Generous and expressive on the nose, with ripe red fruits such as cherries, plums and cassis combined with hints of spices, black pepper and violets.
In the mouth: On the palate, starts out sumptuously rich and full-bodied. The powerful and refined tannins contribute to the structure of this wine. The finish marks a return to red and stony fruits aromas with spicy overtones.
