Château Poujeaux 2015

Château Poujeaux 2015 is a great success, a nice bottle of Moulis perfect to accompany a family barbecue.
The Nose is delicate, expressive and complex, the aromas of black fruit, morello cherry and more floral notes mingle with perfection. On the palate the attack is supple, the wine is dense and the tannins silky. A great complexity, a nice delicacy and a very long persistence in the mouth will give this wine a great drinkability.
The 2015 vintage comes from a classic Médoc blend: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon - 42% Merlot - 6% Petit Verdot - 2% Cabernet Franc
Noted 90-92 by Wine Advocate Robert Parker during the early season, the critic greeted the final very sophisticated and elegant
The 2015 Poujeaux is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. It has a bright-toned, floral bouquet with kirsch and raspberry coulis notes, opulent for this Moulis, but it manages to retain control. The palate is chewy on the entry with mouth-coating tannin, solid in the mouth, brutish at the moment, although the finish does show satisfactory freshness, and is long and minerally. This will be intriguing once in bottle. Anticipated maturity : 2020-2035.
The advice of 12bouteilles: A great wine is not necessarily an expensive wine, this is the case of this Poujeaux 2014. Just open it 30 minutes before tasting on roast beef.
