Château La Mondotte
Created at the beginning of the 19th century, Château La Mondotte was a modest property of the Saint-Emilion appellation, whose owner is Count von Neipperg, who is also the owner of the neighboring cru, Château Canon la Gaffelière. Château la Mondotte, small property of 4.5 hectares, has always been famous for the quality of its wines of an extraordinary opulence, very colorful and robust. The terroir gives them incomparable finesse. A rare vintage, with a maximum of 11,000 bottles a year, always very coveted. In 2012 during the last review of the ranking, Saint Emilion generic name of this terroir, he was promoted 1st Grand Cru Classé B. The grape varieties are 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. The average age of the vines is 50 years old.
