Château Carbonnieux 2020 is a promising vintage, with well-structured wines but which will be delicious to drink now.
It is a balanced wine with silky tannins.To the eye, the colour is purple with violet highlights
The nose is dominated by black fruits, blackcurrants and cherries, followed by chocolate, wood and vanilla notes
On the palate, the attack is straightforward, well-fruited, combined with good length and freshness and all the finesse of a wine from Pessac Léognan.

Over the last few years, and a number of vintages, the wines of Château Carbonnieux have made great strides forward in terms of quality, and these are clearly showing.

The blend of the 2020 vintage is composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot,  5% Petit Verdot, 5% Cabernet Franc.

Maturing for the 2020 vintage was 12 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which were new.

The 12bouteilles advice : If you like young, fruity and crisp wines, don't hesitate to enjoy this bottle straight away. Decant the bottle at least 2 hours before serving and serve chilled at around 18°C. It will go wonderfully with red meats and cheeses.
